I've been missing from blogland (MFB) for the last week because my son is home on winter break and we've been spending a lot of quality family time together. When I was a kid, the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve was a magical time with no school worries and plenty of fun winter things to do, so I wanted to spend extra time making this week a special memory for my son also.
But hey, I didn't want to miss out on a few parties that are happening this week! So I'm throwing up this post showing you some of my favorite projects that I did in 2010.
My most popular post of all time was about this console table that I painted in July.

I still love how this hutch turned out. Green is one of my favorite colors.

My curbside rescue wicker chair and ottoman was a fun project to do. The before photos do not do its ugliness true justice since I was using my Blackberry to take the photo. Gray, crunchy wicker about sums it up.

This oak chair seat redo was a quick project, but made such a difference.

And even though it's not earth shattering, I still like the refinishing of my old dresser. Yes, it would have been easier to just slap a coat of paint on it, but it was pretty satisfying to revive its original wood look.

And no, I still haven't gotten to my rocking chair. It is still mocking me every time I pull in the garage. I'm afraid it will have to wait until Spring since it will be too messy of a job to work on inside the house.

I am linking to these parties today:

Now I'm back to having a Back To The Future movies marathon with my son, see you in a few days.
Pam, thanks so much for sharing these great makeovers at the party. I love that console table and green hutch, too. Looking forward to more in 2011.
ReplyDeletePam, the console table is my all time favorite. I just love those pineapples!
ReplyDeleteHi Pam!
ReplyDeleteI figured you were spending time with your son this week. I hope you are having a lot of fun.
You've had quite a productive year. I don't recall the hutch, so I must have missed that post. Everything turned out great.
Happy New Year, my friend. I hope 2011 brings you everything you wish for and more. La
Have fun with you family. That is the most important part of the Holiday I think. Your projects were wonderful and I found you right after you did that little side table post. Amazing! Hugs-Diana
ReplyDeleteYou knocked out some really amazing transformations this past year. I think a lot of people would have passed on the wicker in it's former sorry state. It looks like an entirely different piece.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family time!
Cheers
Love the console table and jute chair! You done good :) Good luck with that rocking chair. I'm sure you'll make it great!!! I have a few pieces mocking me in the garage :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

Oh my, that rocker looks like it would scare me quick! I don't know if I could handle a remodel of that magnitude. I wish I'd done this, looked back on what I've redone. But I've been away from the computer for a couple and now I'm looking to what I CAN do next! Happy New Year to you!

Love that pineapple table! He would look divine in my entryway!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects! I love your greens, they are really nice. Your redone furniture is all very beautiful. I love that first table, it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Hugs, Cindy
All your projects are wonderful, but my favorite is the wicker redo. What an amazing transformation!
ReplyDeleteGreat re-dos, Pam! Glad you did not paint the dresser - it turned out lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you were a busy bee this past year. I love all your redos.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Happy New Year!
Gwenny
Love the furniture redos. I have done a few and am ready to dive into some bigger ones. Thanks for the great ideas!
