Drum roll please . . . .
It is a cool retro Budweiser lampshade!!! The King of all lampshades!!!
And it's not just an extraordinary lampshade, it's a hanging lamp complete with the cool faux gold chain!!!
I know, I know. You're thinking "Yeah, that's pretty ugly"! Or maybe "Has she lost her mind"?
But you know when I saw it sitting on the shelf at the thrift store I felt a sense of nostalgia toward it. It brought back memories of college nights and bartending days.
So it's either the coolest thing I have ever bought at a thrift store or the stupidest thing I have ever bought at a thrift store. And believe me, I have been going back and forth on this one.
Now what I need to do is get it set up in my husband's garage/man cave ASAP or else it might up end like the deer head incident. In the living room. You can read about that fiasco HERE.
And I don't think my nostalgia for my younger days is going to mesh well with my current decor style when I come down off of my thrifting high.
Well, maybe I could use it in the dining room?

I get it! That's not the sort of thing you see everyday. Yep, it's a man cave sort of thing, but with the right crowd over for dinner, it just might work;-) Fabulous find!
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable! Immediately made me think of a slalom water ski my dad had that was covered with that exact Budweiser logo. Any man cave would treasure that shade! ;)
