Post From October 2010:
Debra at Common Ground is having her fabulous Vintage Inspiration Friday party again this week. The optional theme is Fall and Halloween Tables which I had totally intended to do. I have been making plans for this since she announced the special theme a few weeks ago and dreaming up what I was going to show.
But alas, real life reared its head this week. My son has been home sick from school ALL WEEK and I have been working hard at keeping him happy, comfy and occupied.
Then I found out that my childhood Halloween was tragically cut short for no good reason (you can read about it here) and well, I have totally lost my mojo and just didn't have the energy needed to put together a table that didn't involve paper plates.
So instead I thought I'd take a quieter, slower paced route and just show you a little black and orange for the Halloween weekend. What is more inspiring than black and orange?

Enjoy your weekend and eat some candy corn for me!
BTW, I did some photo processing through Picnik on these photos last year to give them a brighter contrast. I think the process was called Boost.

This is beautiful Pam. I can feel your pain on the roof thing. When we had all those bad storms back in the Spring our neighborhood it was crazy here. People were all very stressed and roofers were pounding day and night. In fact, they are still working on roof replacements here. Hang in there, it's almost over!
ReplyDeletePam -- I so have that same chair in my garden! I've thought of painting mine black too but it has this great green patina that I haven't been able to cover up yet :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall to ya!!
Blessings!
Gail
Such classic fall colors, Pam! Love it! Hope the roof is done SOON!!
ReplyDeleteIt's always stressful when someone is doing something to the house....the pounding has got to be maddening! Hang in there!~Hugs, Patti

Oh, Pam, I know just what you're going through. I am lucky that my husband does almost all the work around here, but the few times we've had workers around, I've gone crazy. It's just uncomfortable and awkward having noise and people around. Hang in there! Hopefully it will be done soon! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!!! Hope the roofers finish soon!!!
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC Photos, Pam! Simply fantastic.

Hang in there. Had part of ours replaced a few years ago after a lightning strike. The dogs were a wreck. I was trying to work from home...what a joke! ENjoyed your repost.
