My son and I have been watching movies from Redbox all day. Muppets From Space, Transformers - Dark Side Of The Moon, Green Lantern and Diary Of A Wimpky Kid - Rodrick Rules. Try not to be too jealous of my viewing choices.
I was planning on watching The Help, but decided that I wanted to wait to read the book first. Plus, I didn't want to hog all the good movies out of the Redbox kiosk (that Muppets From Space was riveting, I tell you).
Lest you think I'm a bad Mom, we don't usually watch that many movies. My son was feeling cruddy today, so we're staying in and hanging low.

Hi Pam!I read The Help first, then listened to it on audio cd, then saw the movie. And they were the best in that order. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI read the Help, saw the movie twice in the theatre, and got it for Christmas. I plan on watching it tonight! The book's much more detailed, but I liked the movie just as much.

ReplyDeleteSounds like many of our days here...time together any way you can get it, is time well spent. Today we watched the entire 4th Season of The Big Bang Theory. I watched The Help yesterday, and recommend it highly. It's a great way to end the year...together! Happy 2012! Vicki

As an art educator, I just have to say that Jim Henson is a genius. Hands down the top American artist our our time. I don't think there's a kid in this country who doesn't know Big Bird or an adult who can't credit puppets with helping them learn their letters. Too bad he has passed on. The new Muppet movie is really sad. It's about how everyone has kinda forgotten about the Muppets. They used to be on in the evenings, but now kids watch Nickelodeon. But, never fear, the band DID get back together for another show to raise some money! (aren't ALL the movies about them getting back together, anyway?? :) ) hugs, and happy new year, andrea@townandprairie
