Porch Decorating

Tips & Tricks for  memorable curb appeal

Porch decorating for the holidays does not have to be expensive. Most of the items I use on my porch have been gathered from around the house or purchased at thrift stores.

Budget Friendly

Whether two flanking the front door or a single planter, a beautiful handmade porch pot can set the whole tone for your porch decor.

Live Greens

I prefer to use live greenery on my porch, so there is less decor to store away for next year. I just haul it off to the compost pile at the end of the season.

HOmemade Wreath

Making your own wreath is a budget friendly way to decorate your door. Plus they are so easy to make.

Plaid

Plaid is a timeless and welcoming decorating theme to use for Christmas. Add in a vintage thermos and some ice skates and you are good to go!

Sporting Equipment

Ice skates, sleds, skis, or snowshoes all SHOUT winter porch decor. BTW, these skis were found at the thrift store and spray painted red.

I always like to add a bit of whimsy and nostalgia to my porch decor. A little bit of 1950's kitsch doesn't hurt either.
