How To Clean Tarnished Silver The Easy Way

Over the years I have bought numerous pieces of silver at thrift stores and estate sales.  Some are silverware & serving pieces I use at holiday gatherings and some are pieces I use simply to decorate my home year-round.

With the holidays coming up I wanted to share a quick and easy way to clean silver.

MATERIALS

- Glass Baking Dish  - Aluminum Foil - Baking Soda - Salt - Boiling Water - Soft Microfiber Cloth

How To Make Your Silver Sparkle For The Holidays!

Line glass baking dish with tin foil, shiny side up. Or grab a disposable aluminum baking pan.

Spread your baking soda and salt on the bottom of the pan.

Add boiling water to the pan.

Allow silver to soak for 2-3 minutes.

The water will turn a slightly yellow-ish color as the tarnish moves from the silverware to the aluminum foil.

Wash with warm soapy water, rinse and dry.
