Sears Has Nothing On Me

Last week I showed you the chippy metal toolbox that I bought at the farm sale HERE.

I spruced it up a little bit with some hydrangea. I have never left it on the bush this late in the season, but I am sort of liking its fall colors.

I found some ornamental kale on clearance for $1.00 each. Or is it cabbage? I'm not good with my vegetables.

The pumpkin that came with the toolbox came in handy. Maybe Sears should run that promo - Buy a toolbox, get a pumpkin. Why I never worked in marketing, I will never know. The marketing gurus know, I just don't know.

I am pretty sure my husband will think this is an embarrassingly girly way to use a toolbox. What do you think, should I chuck the flowers and just throw some wrenches and pliers in it?

Much prettier with the flowers instead of the having a Wrench Box. You could call it a WENCH box seeing as you are using it yourself...just sayin.... OH..BTW-Your photos are gorgeous. If our hydrangea looked like that in late season I would leave it go too...ours goes from white to green to rust. xo Diana

I think it's gorgeous!!! And looks super-adorable the way it is!
I have a wooden tool caddy like that; I actually MADE it myself in 7th grade wood shop. Yes. I still have my tool caddy project from grade 7. I use it to carry my gardening tools and gardening gloves around when I'm outside. It looks way cooler that way. LOL!

I never seen a better way to use a toolbox! Poor hubby will just have to adjust! LOL.

Love your colors and plant combination. I think kale is a form of cabbage, so anyway you say it should be right. I think kale just doesn't form a head. There's the garden lesson for today. :)
Great looking tool box, too.Tools or flowers in the tools box? If you put tools in it, you may never see it again...at least as a decorative element.
