Industrial Rotating Hardware Bins For Less

Published by Pam Kessler | 278 words. · About 2 minutes to read this article. -

You all know I like a deal. Cheap is my middle name after all.

So how about an affordable alternative to the popular metal rotating 3 tier vintage hardware bins which are pretty much a staple in modern country, farmhouse and industrial home decor?

Heck, I've seen them used in craft rooms, kitchens, dining rooms. Just about anywhere you want to organize something.

You know what I'm talking about, right? They look like this one I found at Wayfair:

    Cost: $331.99

Mine: $19.99 (OK, less than that because I had a 20% off coupon)

    Savings: $312.00!!!

    What? No way?

    Where'd you get that, Pam?

Well, I was out shopping with my husband at Harbor Freight the other day.

I know what you're thinking. "You went to an actual store, rather than a thrift store? What is wrong with you?"

I do venture to non-thrift stores. Occasionally. If I'm forced to.

Anyhow, in case you haven't been there before, they have inexpensive hammers, motorcycle lifts and miter saws. Basically a tool store. For instance, I bought my steel stamps at Harbor Freight that I used in my Silverware Stamping Tutorial.

So I'm just walking along trying to not be BORED OUT OF MY MIND and I run across this cool rotating parts bin.

Now, I must warn you. It's in a box. And you have to put it together. As in many screws. Many, many screws.

But $312.00 buys me a lot of patience.

Here's the link to the bin from their online site - Revolving Parts Tray

I just had to share my glee in finding a cool deal outside of a thrift store 🙂

        It's metal. And it's 18" tall by 12" wide.

I LOVE Harbor Freight! My dad had a hardware store when I was a teen and I learned a lot about all kinds of stuff. It never occurred to me to look for one of these things there! AND I see that you bought metal stamps there too! That in itself is a Godsend idea for me!!! I've been looking but had no idea where else other than a craft shop to go looking for these things! You have helped me tremendously with this post! Found you via Vicki O'Dell 🙂

Great find! We sold our giant one last summer...with not doing shows anymore, it was really taking up garage space. I do have one vintage table top bin that I love, but I would love to have more as they are so great for studio storage. These are a great price~ thanks for sharing!

I bought 2 last month but haven't had time to post them. I have one filled and one needs to be put together yet. They are fun.

It pays to read the entire post...was just catching the high points (my dogs think I need to take them outside) and saw the $331.99 one!I was thinking how I was going to tell you I ask for this from Harbor Freight for Christmas...the hint was not taken so I will have to get my own!! I screamed NO PAM! when I saw the expensive one...surely you didn't think that was cheap...LOL!! Whew...then I read the rest of the post...isn't that something? I love it!!! Got my stamping tools there too. I think I will be ordering this for MYSELF today...maybe 2, that should teach 'em! Hope you are having a wonderful 2015! Best, Vicki

I also love the mileage you're getting from the twine wrapped clothes pin! 🙂
As for Pinterest, I just don't get it, so don't worry about me.
