    A Walk In The Park

Published by Pam Kessler | 260 words. · About 2 minutes to read this article. -

Life has not been a walk in the park this weekend.

My son has had this damn cold for weeks and weeks. So long that I can't even remember when it started. Sometime around the beginning of school, I guess.

Been to the doctor's three times for it, so took him back for the fourth time on Saturday. Just for kicks, because we didn't have anything else to do on this fine Fall weekend (insert sarcasm here).

The doctor said his chest sounds like he has walking pneumonia, although they didn't do an x-ray, so we're not a zillion % sure. We try to limit x-rays, since he's already had a ridiculous amount of them in his short life and he's practically glowing as it is.

Plus they suspected a sinus infection also, so they decided to just do a course of Zithromax to kill two birds with one stone.

(I totally did not plan for the killing of birds to be right above the duck photo)

Oh, and speaking of stones, last night he passed what we think are kidney stone pieces. He has ongoing kidney stone problems, so nothing new, but just not a good thing to add to his mix this weekend.

So, not a walk in the park for him, but things will get better once the Zithromax kicks in and the kidney stones have calmed down and life gets back to normal around here.

I'm looking forward to taking a nice hot bath tonight, because it has definitely been a Calgon-take-me-away kind of weekend here.

Oh goodness--I am so sorry to hear Max is still not well. That sucks! Has he been able to go to school? Poor kid. Poor Mom. I know I have been there. Kidney stones do not sound fun wither--I have heard they are very painful.

BTW the pictures are really nice.

Tell Max your blogger friends are thinking of him and wishing him well. Take care of that sweet boy--and yourself too!

Hope your son feels better very soon! It has been crazy in West Ky too since school started back. I work in a doctors office and everyone is sick it seems and for some reason many can't shake it. I hope he is 100% himself very soon. The pics are beautiful by the way! Take care.

Your poor son AND you must be totally exhausted! I hope he's feeling better and the Calgon bath really does take you away, at least for a few moments. Take care.

Well the Zithro should definitely knock that out of his system, it is a powerful antibiotic and I hope it clears him up. If he has pneumonia, his chest must be hurting pretty badly. And kidney, stones,t oo? How painfuL! The poor lamb, I hope he clears up soon so he can enjoy his Halloween and upcoming holidays! Prayers and best wishes for your son, Pam!

That darling has kidney stones? I am dreadfully upset about the ongoing cold but kidney stones so young is completely awful. I had my first one when I was pregnant with CC and still get them. Bless him and you. The Z-pak does have a long half life and should continue working even after he completes it. That is my mantra when I take it. big hugs, olive

      Hey Sweet Friend,
Thinking of you! We haven't been very healthy around here either... Took my daughter to the dr, then my son, then me, and then my daughter again. I told the doc I don't want to see him for a very long time!!! I know you have extra issues to think of as well, so praying for a speedy recovery & things getting back to normal!!! Love the pics, and the "killing two birds" comment. LOL Take care.
