My husband has a little weirdness about daylight saving time. Instead of waiting for the normal time to change the clocks, he starts changing the clocks on Saturday.
Morning.
And not all at one time. Nope, he has to leisurely space his time changing chore out.
So throughout the entire day on Saturday, I have no freaking idea what time it is.
When I look at a clock, I wonder if that is the right time? Do I have to add an hour to that particular clock? Take away an hour? If I deduct an hour, but the clock has not been changed yet, then I am really out of time.
WHAT TIME IS IT ANYWAY???
Hope daylight saving time is less stressful at your house!
FYI - some people had commented on my pink hobnail vase the last time I showed it in one of my Valentine decor posts HERE. It is a Fire-King piece and I did a post about it in early 2011 HERE. It's one of my most favorite pieces in the whole wide world.
Edited - to remove the s from daylight savings time, because my grammatically correct husband has informed me that it is daylight saving time. If only he could be correct in his time change ritual.

This post is too funny! We have a weird ritual in our house, too. The day after we change the clocks, our girls and I would start asking my hubby what time it "really" is. We knew how much it annoyed him, and it took him years to catch onto our little joke. So what the heck time is it where you live? You could always move to Indiana or Nevada. Aren't they the two states that don't take part in the fun ritual? They don't know what they're missing!

Haha, I never know what time it is. I wear a vintage wind up watch from 1968 that I won when I was six that has my name engraved on it that I cannot remember to wind. Even though the hour is on the computer I never look at it. I think I let go of being so hour oriented when I retired. A nurse has to be focused on time and I blissfully have given all that up. By Sunday perhaps you will be oriented again. You are not alone Joe corrects my grammar to. He is the English Police.

I totally forgot about daylight saving time! Thanks for the reminder, love those clocks and that vase 🙂

This is so funny because Mr. MST does the same thing, only he waits until later in the afternoon. It messes me up every time. I noticed that gorgeous vase right away!

That is too funny...DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?????
Hey- I forgot if you told me, are you going to Blogher this summer??
You should if only because I am going.
And I know you really want us to meet. 🙂

I can't wait for garage sales and a chance to find some more clocks! Yours are cute on the tray with the hobnail.

Okay- I think YOU should go wear a WRISTWATCH all day with the time set correctly! Problem solved....that will be 5 cents for the advice please- xo Diana

Ha ha! Maybe it feels like her's "easing" into the new time. Too funny.
I love you little clock collection. It looks so pretty displayed on the tray with your sweet pink vase.

I LOVE Fire-King baking dishes. THe clock thing would drive me crazy. We used to do it before we went to bed, now my husband waits til morning to change the clocks, watches, etc.

That IS a gorgeous piece!! Good luck tomorrow... I think you need to wear a wristwatch on those two time-changing days of the year. 🙂

That is funny, but it would drive me crazy!

We don't change our clocks here in Arizona, but it makes it really hard to figure out the East and West times when everyone else changes. I am always asking what time it is too. Hugs, Marty

Since our kids were little, I've turned the clocks back on Satur-DAY as well -- although, all at one time. I always figure that it's better for the kids (who am I kidding? me too!) to miss an hour of daytime, than of sleep. This year, I'll have to wait until our son leaves for his 11pm-5am work shift -- or I'll really mess him up! But... I just reminded him, his shift will really be an hour shorter! [Now, if only the guy covering the shift AFTER him remembers to turn his clock ahead!!]

The 5:30am alarm clock for our freshmen is going to be wicked awful on Monday with the time change. Wish us ALL luck. Seriously love your clock vignette today. You have the best displays.
Happy Friday!
