Do you remember my humongo front porch pumpkin from last year?
The one that weighed 100 pounds and almost gave my husband and I hernias trying to get it up on the porch.
When it was time to decorate the porch for Christmas last year, I tossed it into our garbage/junk/compost pile and forgot about it.
Well, lo and behold we've had a case of immaculate conception.
Or the seeds from last year grew.
Take your pick.
This one is about 24 inches tall right now and it still has growing time left.
Who knew a pumpkin would grow from pumpkin seeds?

Pam, don't you just love easy gardening like that. We did not do our regular garden this year due to too much sports over the summer. However we also threw all the pumpkins in the garden when finished last year and I have a few orange ones and at least one white. Got to love free pumpkins. Alaina

Seriously awesome! We spend so much money on cash every year for our Halloween party pumpkins. We try and try to grow them and the deer and ground hogs just help themselves to our outdoor salad bars. Good for you!

Awesome! She will be ready just in time! We always throw pumpkin scrap on our pile, too, and every year get a few straggly vines to peep out and make a pumpkin. Bonus!

We had the same thing happen to us last year. I couldn't for the life of me figure out where my dogs were getting pumpkins to eat until I went on a stealth mission and followed them. It's a good thing pumpkin is good for dogs!
