Buffalo Check Gift Tags Free Printable

Published by Pam Kessler | 310 words. · About 2 minutes to read this article. -

You guys! I'm LOVING everything buffalo check this year.

Give me a home where the buffalo roam . . . and I'll throw an adorable buffalo check hat on his head, a buffalo check scarf around his neck and serve him dinner on buffalo check dinnerware.

After he throws on some buffalo check boots, so he doesn't drag mud all through the house.

Of course, I can only imagine buffalo are messy, I've never actually owned one before.

So I thought in case you share my obsession with all things buffalo check, I'd make some holiday gift tags for us.

The craft paper ones have a traditional "To" and "From" area for you to fill out.

The chalkboard ones feature the full design on front and you can hand write on the back who they go to (didn't want you to have to run all over town to find a white pen to write on the front).

Of course both of these would be perfect to tie to that bottle of wine you're bringing over here for dinner next week.

I wrote "sample" across these, because they print out so much nicer if you use the link to print out the hi-res image. These images are for personal use only.

BTW, my deer friend was ahead of the buffalo check trend. He was sporting this look way back in 2014.

Have you caught the buffalo check fever yet? Or are you more of a Tartan plaid girl?

I didn't know that was called "Buffalo check." I wonder why...it doesn't look anything like a buffalo. Wow, I can't imagine buying 60 lbs of turkey either! She must be feeding a church group or something. We aren't doing Thanksgiving at our house this year. We're driving 800 miles to Houston on Wed. NOT looking forward to that 12 hr drive! I usually do either a small turkey or ham. I love ham.

OK, I had to Google why they call it Buffalo Check and it is really a Scottish pattern called Rob Roy, but a guy at Woolrich started making the pattern here in the U.S. in the 1800's and he happened to own a herd of buffalo, so he named it after the buffalo. I guess he could have just as easily called it Cat Check or Dog Check 🙂

THANKS!! for the gift tags! VERY cute! I have about 10 people coming for dinner Thursday. I haven't cooked Thanksgiving dinner in quite a few years, my DIL usually does it but she's been traveling for weeks for her job and extended family health issues so I've got it this year.
My youngest daughter lives 1,000 miles away and is 8-1/2 months pregnant so they're home for Thanksgiving, nobody else in her husband's family is healthy or able enough to cook so she has about 20 people coming! LOL!! But her mama didn't raise any dummies - she's having the whole meal catered!

Catered sounds perfect. And next year she's have a new little one at the table 🙂 Congratulations on the grandbaby to be!

Your gift tags are so darn cute! And be sure to post a pic of the buffalo check boots, if anyone can find a pair, it's you! I love all of it, buffalo and tartan mixed. (My Dad played the bagpipes, he looked great in his plaid skirt). I'm used to huge Thanksgiving dinners (from a family of 12 kids), we always had 2 large turkeys! Enjoy your petite bird with your family, Pam!

I found a pair at The Andersons, it's a store here in Ohio and they were $79!!! Maybe if they go on sale. A really big sale 🙂
